Since Windows Mobiel Device Center is an old feature and is no longer a supported Windows feature, along with Microsoft trying to remove it, then touble might occure whne trying to install and run on Windows 11 and Windows 10 machines.
This article will cover the latest working solution for getting Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) to work with Windows 11 and Windows 10 machines.
Downloads:
64 bit: drvupdate-amd64.exe
32 bit: drvupdate-x86.exe
Patch: wmdc-fixes-for-win10.msi
Guide:
- Download the installation file for 64 bit or 32 bit machines depending on the Windows machine version.
- Download the Patch file.
- start the installation file and wait for the installation to finish.
- This usually takes up to a minut on modern machines
- Install the patch file.
- When this is done, you will be promted with a reboot.
- Press yes to initiate the reboot.
- After the PC reboot, open the installed WMDC program.
- Press Accept to MICROSOFT SOFTWARE LICENSE TERMS.
- Now it works again.
